Dr. Wasnik is a Professor of Radiology, Division Director of Abdominal & Cross-Section Interventional Radiology, and Chair of the Medical Student Radiology Research at the University of Michigan-Michigan Medicine, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has previously served as Medical Director of Ultrasound, Director of Abdominal Medical Student Education, and Medical Director of the Livonia Radiology Ambulatory Care Unit at Michigan Medicine.
He is a funded researcher and co-inventor on US-patented automated bowel segmentation techniques. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, 140 scientific/educational abstracts, several book chapters, and two books as a co-lead author. In addition, he has presented over 100 invited lectures. He is an elected fellow of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR) and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU).
Dr. Wasnik serves on numerous institutional and national committees with leadership on several committees. He reviews for over ten journals and is Deputy Editor of Academic Radiology journal.
