Dr. Steven Wexner is the director of the Ellen Leifer Shulman and Steven Shulman Digestive Disease Center at Cleveland Clinic Florida and has been the chairman of the department of colorectal surgery since 1993. Dr. Wexner has held multiple positions with the American College of Surgeons, including serving as vice-chair on the Board of Regents and is currently the chair of the ACS Commission on Cancer (CoC) National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer. He is past president of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (2011-2012), past president of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery (2010-2011), and the past president of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (2006-2007). He holds multiple academic appointments, memberships in surgical societies, and honorary degrees both locally and globally. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Surgery and is the most cited living colorectal surgeon with at least 855 manuscripts, 269 textbook chapters, and 165 editorials and invited commentaries.

8/13/23 Dr. Teresa H. DeBeche-Adams on Functional Outcomes After Rectal Cancer Surgery

Dr. Teresa deBeche-Adams is Chairman of the Department of Colon & Rectal Surgery at AdventHealth Orlando. She has been a staff member since completing her fellowship there in 2011. Her General Surgery residency was completed at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana, and she earned her medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. deBeche-Adams serves as Director of the Rectal Physiology Lab and her special interests include TAMIS, TaTME, Robotic surgery, and pelvic floor disorders.
